Stephen Marcus

Character: Uncle Max

Profile: A charismatic and versatile actor who has become a recognised British actor internationally and a household name. Played 'Nick the Greek' in the massive hit, 'Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrels', starring alongside Michael Caine & Kate Winslett in 'Quills' soon to be released. Played Sharon's first boyfriend in 'Birds of a Feather'. Film credits include 'Angela's Ashes', 'Hear My Song', 'My Beautiful Launderette', 'Sorted', 'Londinium', 'Beautician & The Beast', 'Killer Tongue', 'Savage Hearts' and 'Arriverderci Millwall'. TV credits include: 'Dangerfield', 'Our Friends Of The North', 'Real Women', 'Kavanagh QC' and many more.

Uncle Max is the owner of the diner. A large beefy character, with a big personality, big car along with a big mouth. He is bluntly spoken, chauvinistic and verbally abusive to his staff and constantly reminds them that the customers are their number one priority (any customer is profit in his eyes). He likes to be the centre of attention and play Mr Big, which he thinks allows him to charm the ladies. Has a love hate relationship with his wife, Bessy, although they occasionally appear in amateur porn magazines together.

 

 

Kevin Howarth

Profile: A magnetic and dedicated actor with extensive experience in film and theatre. He envelopes a role and gives that little bit extra with every performance. While he has diverse and action abilities, his charm and good looks appeal to all. Credits include; 'The Big Swop', 'Razor Blade Smile', 'Cash in Hand' with Richard E. Grant and Charley Boorman, 'Last Orders' with Adrian Dunbar and recently 'The Ghost of Greville Lodge' starring along side George Cole and Prunella Scales. TV credits: include 'Alexander The Great' in 'Conquerers' for Discovery Channel.

Stranger, rough and ready, deep evil eyes with a cunning smile. He is a psychopathic killer who preys on his victims when they are alone in their cars. He is an evil and malevolent person who says only one word in the film 'COFFEE'. However, he has a very strong presence throughout the film, but his silence creates at disturbing atmosphere amongst the diner's staff.

Charlotte Rogers

Character: Juliet (Murder Victim)

Profile: An actress in her early twenties who has physical capabilities of playing younger. A fun loving character with elegance and innocence and a good ear for accents. Graduated from Rose Bruford College in 1999. Her professional work is predominately theatrical, credits include: 'Chrysalis Theatre Tour', 'The Crucible', 'A Little Hotel On The Side', 'Saturday, Sunday, Monday' and 'Much Ado About Nothing'. Also performed with the National Youth Theatre of Wales including 'Epsom Downs', 'The Beggar's Opera' and 'The Mystery Plays'. Commercial and promotional work for SC4 films.

Juliet is in her late teens (dark hair), The English Rose, gentle, innocent, pretty, hard working, strong and determined, lives life to the full. She has been travelling but ran out of money recently and has taken a job as a waitress at Uncle Max's Diner. As she is the new girl, she lacks confidence to join in the banter that goes on a Max's, although on occasion, she does. She becomes the object of the Stranger's attention.

 

 

Pippa Edwards

Profile: An exciting and naturally talented actress whose professional and positive approach to her work and lively personality make her a joy to work with. She is a keen outdoor sportswoman and enjoys abseiling and fencing amongst others. Her training in singing has produced a fine alto voice. Credits include: 'London Dungeon Special' Live TV, 'Death Knell', Vardon Entertainment and 'The Trial of Joseph K'. She has just finished filming 'Hotel Getaway' for Granada Television. With her ability to perform with an excellent American accent she will play the role of Mary-Sue with charisma, conviction and enthusiasm.

Mary is a busty blonde who knows all the tricks of her trade and can handle any situation, sharp tongue, loves to gossip and wind others up. She is the head waitress and pretty much runs the diner having worked there for a number of years, attractive and spunky though very tough. Does take any 'shit' from anybody, even Max, yet will have a joke and a laugh with anyone who wishes to. She has a love hate working relationship with Xeno.

Larissa Murray

Character: Annie

Profile: A stunning screen actress who has versatility and natural charisma which appeals to the camera. Native Canadian, studied at the 'Guildford School of Acting' and trained in classical Shakespeare. Film credits include Katie in 'Rooftop' for Channel 4 and Jennie in 'Justice Denied'. She has a strong theatrical background with credits including Ben Elton's 'Popcorn', Chris Malcolm's 'The Rocky Horror Show', 'Stripped', 'Sunset Boulevard', 'White Bucks and Saddle Shoes' and Bill Kenwright's 'Only The Lonely'. Various Voices for 'Manga Cartoons'.

Annie is in her late twenties. A sweet and charming girl who never has a harsh word to say about anyone. Has an understanding and sisterly warmth about her. She is a waitress at Uncle Max's who is friendly with the customers, but like MARY-SUE, has a good old giggle when it comes to gossip and having a laugh.

 

 

Gerardo Silano

Profile: A larger than life character with a vibrant personality. His hunger and passion for his work will bring him just rewards through his hard work and determination. Studied at The Mountview Theatre School. Recent film credits include 'Robin Hood - Prince of Thieves', 'Amy Foster', 'The Secret Life', 'Crossed Lines', 'Rigor Mortis', 'Why?', and 'Jester'. Recent TV credits include 'Crimewatch', 'The Bill', 'Eastenders', 'The Fine Art Of Crime' as Gian Luca, 'The Countess Alice' as Gianni, 'Inspector Morse' as Andy Richards and 'The Comic Strip'.

Xeno, full name Giovanni Santini, the diner's chef. He is an aspiring actor, classically trained and believes that by working in the diner he may be spotted one day or have the chance to meet the movie stars who often visit Uncle Max's. He constantly quotes Shakespeare to impress the ladies, who are captivated by his charming swashbuckling manner and strong Italian accent much to the annoyance of MARY-SUE who puts him in his place as and when she feels. They enjoy their confrontational relationship. However he never knows when she is teasing or when she is serious.

Hugh Tremayne

Character: Tony

Profile: A sincere and charming actor with a smooth and cultured voice which melts the ladies in particular. Classic good looks and gentile manners but don't be fooled, an adaptable actor he is. Studied at Webber-Douglas Academy of Dramatic Art. Played 'Captain Hook' in 'Hooked'. TV Credits include 'Kavanagh Q.C.' as Michael Schuman, 'The Wimbledon Poisoner' (BBC) as Eric and 'The Hurdle' (BBC2) as Policeman. Theatrical credits include 'As You Like It', 'No Smoke Without Fire'. Has extensive experience in radio presenting and recorded numerous voiceovers.

Tony is a regular customer at Uncle Max's. A tired old trucker who visits the diner to unwind, enjoy the company of Mary Sue and Annie, the harmless flirting, funnin' around and good food, before going home to his wife with whom his relationship has worn thin over the years. He takes each day as it comes.

 

 

Donald Standen

Profile: A debonair, charming and physical actor with unmistakable good looks, a true professional with a great deal of international experience. Trained at The Actors Centre and The Lost Theatre. Recent film credits include: 'Cor Blimey', played Sean Connery, 'Dead Line', 'Crazy Six', 'Parting Shots', 'Captain America' and 'Just Ask For Diamond'. TV credits include 'Golden Oldies Picture Show', 'Absolutely Fabulous', 'Minder' and 'Highlander'. Doubled for Christopher Reeve as Superman and featured in dozens of TV commercials in the UK and Overseas.

Don, is in his mid-thirties, tall and hunky ageing rock'n'roller with a southern velvet voice, charmer, likes women to think he is a one woman man. He is the local stud who is usually found with a different girl every night. However, underneath his façade, he is a sensitive and passionate man which women adore once they are allowed to get close to him. He is somewhat insecure but hides this by using his physical presence to help others.

Suzy Cooper

Character: Faye (Don's Girlfriend)

Profile: A truly elegant actress with the ability to transform and adapt to any character she is playing. Studied at London Academy Of Music and Dramatic Art and an Associate Member of The Imperial Society of Teachers of Dance. Film credits include Claire in 'Sarah' and Lady Gravnville in 'King Of The Wind'. TV credits include Karen Peters in 'The Bill', Fiona in 'Men Behaving Badly', Susan in 'Pie In The Sky', Desiree in 'Minder', Agnes in 'You Rang M'Lord', Staff Nurse in 'The Queens Nose', Nina in 'Surgical Spirit', Melody in 'Jupiter Moon', and Donna in 'Nice Day At The Office'.

Faye, is in her late twenties, attractive and bubbly. Fair hair, set in her ways, over sensitive, meticulously fussy but a bit of a tease. She is a classic country bumpkin who hasn't ventured far from home, but would love to travel and visit fancy places. She constantly moans to Don about not doing such things, but at the end of the day she is quite content to stay close to home.

 

 

Bernard Van Bilderbeek

Profile: An outstanding young actor who has all the credentials to go to the top. Ambition to be the next James Bond or the next Mr Bean. His quirky and cheeky sense of humour allows for this. Trained at 'The Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts'. Film credits include 'Cosmopolitan', 'Gentlemen From Boston', 'Princess Of No Man's Land', 'Local Hero', 'Gregory's Girl' and 'Small Faces'. TV credits include 'Smith and Jones' and 'Mr Bean'. Theatre credits include 'Look Back in Anger', 'The Ferris Wheel', 'Of Mice and Men', and 'Street Car Named Desire' with RADA.

Rudy is MARY-SUE's cousin. A stunt man who comes to the diner whenever he is in town and brings his movie star friends to the diner to taste the best apple pie south of the bayou and meet the prettiest girls in the county. He is clean cut, very confident and cocky which goes with his profession. Keen to meet new faces but is somewhat impatient. A fly by night kind of character. Works hard, plays hard.

David Curtiz

Character: Scott Lawrence

Profile: A quality actor with a good pedigree of work to date. Has transformed from a child actor to a mature professional. Trained at Guildhall School of Music and Drama, Grandishon College and The Alexander Academy. Played John Hemmings in the acclaimed 'Shakespeare In Love'. Recent film credits include 'Daylight Robbery', 'Midnight Movie', 'The Unicyclist', 'Second On The Right And On Til Morning', 'Secret Places' and 'Caught In The Act'. TV credits include the series 'Wonderful You' as Tom, 'Eastenders' as Bruce and 'The Bill' as Tony Boyce.

Scott is in his mid twenties. RUDY's friend, an English action movie star who has taken Hollywood by storm. A true gentleman and his accent captivates the waitresses, especially Mary Sue and has a charm to win over even the most difficult of people. A hopeless romantic, happy go lucky, who takes people as he finds them.

 

 

Ben Bishop

Profile: A young and up and coming actor with a great ear for accents. Methodical in his approach to each performance and executes brilliantly every time. Never fails to impress. Trained at Middlesex University and graduated with BA (Hons) 2.1 Acting. Television credits include 'Browns Money', 'Doom Watch', 'Pantomime' and 'Sense and Sensibility'. Also works as a Stand-up Comedian. Workshops: Berkoff & Berkoff complicite, comedia and mellow drama with John Wright. Has worked with 'The Common Ground Theatre Company'. His theatre credits include 'Welcome to Eternity', 'Hamlet', 'The Crucible', 'Alfi', and 'Not So Secret Cabaret Act at Wilton House'

Joel is in his early twenties, new age redneck. Joel tries to be cool but is quickly edgy and paranoid by his dope induced antics. He is the passenger in the funky wagon. He and his friend Dean are on their travels aimlessly crossing the southern states. A modern hippie, a real wild character in his own little world. Life for him appears to be one long party but when Dean tells him a scary story he freaks out showing his gullibility.

Norman Bowman

Character: Dean

Profile: A gifted and charming actor who propels himself into any role and has the passion and enthusiasm to sustain a fruitful career. Graduated from 'The London Academy of Performing Arts' his acting career has included such prestigious theatrical work as 'Les Miserables', 'The Pirates of Penzance' and 'Master Class'. Additional theatre credits include 'The Wind In The Willows', 'Anthony & Cleopatra', 'Grease', 'West Side Story', 'Godspell' and 'Seven Brides For Seven Brothers'. 'Don't Look Back' will be his first film project.

Dean is in his early twenties. New age redneck.. He is calm, collective, serious and strange. He is Joel's only friend and manipulates him when he chooses. He and Joel are driving along minding their own business when Dean suddenly snaps and tells Joel a frightening story. His story telling is disturbing, tense and gripping. His body language is calculated in execution of the legendary tale. He is faultless in his performance, but when sees his friend at his wits end, he breaks into a teasing laughter.
